一、課程內容

本課程的學習內容主要圍繞本課程的指定教材《英語中級聽力》（ Listen to This:2）。全書共36課，每課由三個部分組成。每一課的主要學習內容包括生詞表、文化背景注釋和配套練習等三個部分。

二、考核目標

本課程是一門訓練聽力的單項技能課，其考核目標為；聽懂英語國家人士關于日常生活和社會生活的交談以及難度相當于TOEFL中的Mini-talk等中等難度的聽力材料，理解中心大意，抓住主要論點，并能就所給的材料進行問答、復述和討論。

本課程所指定的教材為《英語中級聽力》（ Listen to This:2），何其莘等編，外語教學與研究出版社。

本課程包括生詞表、文化背景注釋和配套練習三個部分。考生學習時應事先熟悉生詞表中列出的詞匯，并閱讀文化背景注釋。書中某些課文含有根據上下文推測、記筆記和整理講座提綱等學習方法訓練的內容，還包括對這些練習的示范說明，考生在做這部分練習時應熟悉這些訓練的目的和要求。此外，考生應處理好聽力課與其他課程的關系。應該知道，除了多聽錄音、多做練習之外，對語音語調的正確把握、豐富的詞匯和語匯、寬闊的文化背景知識面等，對于提高英語聽力技能是極其重要的，而這些綜合的語言知識和語言技能的學習和掌握，與其他課程（中英語口語、閱讀、語法、寫作、英語國家概況等）的學習是分不開的。

三、關于考試形式、內容和成績評定

英語聽力考試的形式是筆試。題型均為多項選擇類的客觀題。考試分五大部分。

第一部分：辨音。（占20％。共10題，每題2分。）

要求考生聽完一句錄音后，從卷面上所給的四個讀音類似的單詞中找出一個錄音句子中含有的單詞。錄音句子讀兩遍。

第二部分：單句理解（占20％。共20題，每題1分。）

要求考生聽完一句錄音后，從卷面上所給的四個句子中選出一句意思最為接近的句子。錄音句子讀兩遍。

第五部分；短文理解、判斷正誤（占20％。共10題，每題2分。）

要求考生聽完一篇約600個單詞的短文后，就短文內容判斷10個句子的正誤。10個句子均列在卷面上。短文錄音放兩遍。

整個聽力考試約為60分鐘。要求考生邊聽錄音、邊讀試卷，同時在答題卡上做答。采用標準答體卡答卷，機器閱卷。滿分為100分，60分為及格。
