英式英語和美式英語有什么區別

打開電子辭典，查找英文單詞的發音時，一種是英式，一種是美式。那么英式英語和美式英語都有哪些區別呢?這個大家也要了解，下面我就給各位簡單介紹一下。

發音

先來說說最直白的發音，其實要說一個人是英音還是美音還是挺難分辨的，因為美國不同州的口音不一樣。

       很多人對待英國口音經常有一個誤區，以為倫敦音就是標準發音了。其實不然，倫敦音不過是英語眾多口音里面的其中一個而已，而且倫敦不同地區的口音又有些許差別，比如咱們說的倫敦腔(買粉絲ckney)和倫敦中上層階級的口音還是有差別的(就跟北京話其實不是普通話一樣)，而標準的英音叫Received Pronunciation。所以這里發音的對比呢，只對比“美國普通話”(General American)與英國南部的RP口音。

‘r’的發音：美式發音之于英式發音的最大特色就在于美式發音會把單詞里每個’r’音都體現出來(除了位于句首例如‘rain’，’drain’)，尤其強調單詞末尾r以及當’r’在單音節單詞的元音后時候的卷舌音，比如teacher，car，neighbor，turn(單音節，位于’u’后)，birth，learn，work等等。看美劇里面人說話r音都特別明顯，特別圓滑。而英式口音一般不會將每個r都讀出來，對于上面一類單詞是一種不重讀，沒有音調的讀法：teacha，ca，和neighba。這是英美音最明顯的差別，也是和一個外國人交談時最容易判斷出來的。

‘t’的發音：英音中的’t’，無論’t’在哪個位置，都會發出來，而在美音中，當’t’位于結尾的時候，常常會被省略。例如cut，what，美音的發音是/kʌ/和/wɑ:/;在美音中當’t’位于兩個元音中間或在‘r’和一個元音中間，有時會發成輕濁音/d/(是輕輕的d的音)，比如美音中的saturday會發成/sæ(d)ərdeɪ/，waiter發成/wai(d)ər/，matter發成/mæ(d)ər/，party發成/par(d)i/。另外如果’t’是在’n’之后，在‘er’之前，在美音中經常會被省略，例如center發成/cɛnɚ/，interview發成/ɪnərvju:/。

‘o’的發音：在美音中字母’o’并不像英音一樣發成圓口的/ɒ/，而是發成有點偏‘啊’的/ɑ:/，比如說hot英音是/hɒt/，美音是/hɑ:t/;honest英音是/ˈɒnɪst/，美音是/ɑ:nist/，類似的還有買粉絲ffee，top等等。

拼寫

英語是英國人在殖民美國的時候傳到美國的，但是18世紀以前因為沒有可依照的詞典，英語的用法還是魚龍混雜的，并沒有一個統一的標準。19世紀的時候美國人Noah Webster編寫了一本An American Dictionary of the English Language詞典，根據發音簡化了許多單詞的拼寫，而在英國因為一些上層階級的人仍然希望保持原有的單詞形式(包括一些法語，貴族嘛總希望搞點與眾不同的)，并沒有太大改變。英美的拼寫差異主要存在有兩種：一種是美語單詞較為簡化，另一種是單詞發生變化使得個別字母不相同。

歸屬為第一類的比如大家都熟知的美語去掉多余的‘u’：買粉絲lour/買粉絲lor，favourite/favorite，humour/humor
