一年一度的票選今天終于揭曉，Tiesto成功衛冕。這在很大程度上得益于他在今年雅典奧運會開幕式上的表演。德國人Paul Van Dyk依然延續著自己無冕之王的美譽排在Tiesto之后，Armin Van Buuren排名第三無可非議，這位荷蘭系的Trance DJ在風格上越發大氣，令人贊嘆。第四的Sasha今年發表的新碟堪稱驚艷，讓人不得不承認他依然是Progressive界的王者。Ferry Corsten上升一位排到第五，這與他今年的高曝光率有很大關系。不得不提的是Hernan Cattaneo，這位來自阿根廷的DJ已經逐漸成為Progressive最強勁的勢頭，他以自己獨有的多變曲風贏得許多專業人士的首肯。Christopher Lawrence狂飆28位升至第七，作為美國DJ能夠得到英國的認同實屬不易。John Digweed和Paul Oakenfold近來逐漸由臺前衍變為幕后，專注于新人的提拔和扶持，排名自然繼續下滑，卻不知這兩位實力超群的DJ何時能卷土重來。Deep Dish排名和去年一致，沒有變化。

今年總體和去年差異不大，仍然是Trance的天下，不過Progressive仍然不容小視，而傳統意義上的House及Trible DJ已經逐漸淡出視線。可以看出當今的電子音樂依然是走多元化的趨勢，簡單的鼓點和單調的旋律已經不再能滿足廣大電音愛好者挑剔的耳朵了。
