① 有些名詞只用不定式(短語)作后置定語，而另一些名詞只用“of + doing Sth.…” 的介詞短語結構作后置定語。這個問題不在本文討論范圍。

② 單個分詞作前置定語與作后置定語，有時意義有所變化；甚至v-ing形式作前置定語時也有動名詞與現在分詞之分。如：

The method used is very efficient.（意為“運用的”）

This is a used bike.（意為“舊的”）

All parties 買粉絲ncerned are present.（意為“有關的”）
