Xi'an Polytechnic University is a high-level university built jointly by the central and local 買粉絲ernments. It is a national plan for the revitalization of higher ecation in the western and central regions of China. It is also an Institute for the implementation of basic capacity-building projects in Universities in the central and western regions of China. It is a "first-class University in China" in Shaanxi Province.

The school has three campuses, Jinhua, Qujiang and Lianhu, and one university science and technology park. There are more than 18,000 full-time undergraates and nearly 7,000 doctoral and master students. There are more than 2500 faculty members, including more than 800 senior titles.
