提單 BILL OF LADING 提單是指一種用以證明海上運輸合同和貨物由承運人接管或裝船，以及承運人據以保證在目的港交付的單證。

已裝船提單 SHIPPED OR BOARD B/L 指承運人向托運人簽發的貨物已經裝船的提單。

收貨待運提單或待運提單 RECEIVED FOR SHIPPING B/L 指承運人雖已收到貨物但尚未裝船時簽發的提單。

直達提單 DIRECT B/L 指貨物自裝貨港裝船后，中途不經換船直接駛到卸貨港卸貨而簽發的提單。

聯運提單或稱轉船提單 THROUGH B/L 指承運人在裝貨港簽發的中途得以轉船運輸而至目的港的提單。

多式聯運提單 MT B/L 指貨物由海上、內河、鐵路、公路、航空等兩種或多種運輸方式進行聯合運輸而簽的適用于全程運輸的提單。

班輪提單 LINER B/L 班輪是在一定的航線上按照公布的時間表，在規定的港口間連續從事貨運的船舶。班輪可分定線定期和定線不定期兩種。

租船合同提單 CHARTER PARTY B/L 一般指用租船承運租船人的全部貨物，船東簽給租船人的提單，或者并非全部裝運租船人的貨物，而由船東或租船人所簽發的提單。

記名提單 STRAIGHT B/L 只有提單上指名的收貨人可以提貨的提單，一般不具備流通性。

指示提單 ORDER B/L 通常有未列名指示（僅寫ORDER），列名指示（ORDER OF SHIPPER 或ORDER OF CONSIGNEE**COMPANY；ORDER OF **BANK）。此種提單通過指示人背書后可以轉讓。

不記名提單 BLANK B/L或OPEN B/L 提單內沒有任何收貨人或ORDER 字樣，即提單的任何持有人都有權提貨。

清潔提單 CLEAN B/L 貨物交運時，表面情況良好，承運人簽發提單時未加任何貨損、包裝不良或其他有礙結匯的批注。

倒簽提單 ANTE-DATED B/L 承運人應托運人的要求在貨物裝船后，提單簽發的日期早于實際裝船完畢日期的提單。

預借提單 ADVANCED B/L 因信用證規定裝運期和結匯期到期而貨物因故未能即使裝船，但已在承運人掌握之下或已開始裝船，由托運人出具保函要求承運人預借的提單。

艙面提單或稱甲板貨提單 ON DECK B/L 指貨物裝載于船舶露天甲板，并注明“甲板上”字樣的提單。

貨運提單 HOUSE B/L 由貨運代理人簽發的提單。貨運提單往往是貨物從內陸運出并運至內陸時簽發的。這種提單從技術上和嚴格的法律意義上說，是缺乏提單效力的。

國際多式聯運 INTERNATIONAL MULTIMODAL TRANSPORT 根據貨物托運人委托，由多式聯運經營人以至少兩種不同的運輸方式，其中一種為海運方式，將貨物從一國境內接管貨物地點運至另一國境內指定交付貨物的地點，這種運輸方式稱為國際多式聯運。它的主要形式有：海陸/海空/海鐵等。
