2018年入學申請開放在即，相信有很多的同學都在積極準備申請工作。除了努力學好最后幾門專業課，考出來一個符合學校要求的雅思成績之外，有一個重要的因素是絕對不可忽視的!那就是文書。文書包括個人陳述，推薦信和簡歷。下文為純文本，可能不那么有趣，但它對申請幫助甚大，需要耐心閱讀。

關于簡歷在申請當中的作用

其實招生官想在簡歷當中看到的是申請人課堂之外的活動經歷。特別是當申請人已經畢業且有多年的工作經驗。在這種情況下，把所有經歷全部寫進個人陳述會淹沒主要內容，但提供所有的在職證明離職證明又顯得不那么現實。這時候，一份詳實的簡歷就顯得十分必要了。

值得注意的是，如果申請某些學院，如牛津大學的賽義德商學院(Saïd Business School, University of Oxford)，帝國理工商學院(Imperial College Business School)的話。學院會要求使用特定的簡歷模板。如果不使用的話會對申請產生不好的影響。因為招生官會認為，這個申請者都沒有仔細看我們的申請須知，TA真的想來我們學校嗎?

關于推薦信

申請者需要據實填寫文書信息表里面的推薦信信息表部分，提供熟悉申請人情況的兩位推薦人(申請牛津大學需要提供三位推薦人)的姓名，職稱，工作單位，地址，電話，郵箱，并以推薦人的口吻寫明推薦人跟申請人認識多久了，怎么認識的，申請者表現如何以及其他有用的信息。在校大學生和畢業三年以內的建議找兩位熟悉基本情況的(上過老師的課，參加過老師組織的研究項目，課外活動)跟自己關系好的老師，如果符合條件的老師比較多，選職稱較高的兩位，需要向他們說明提供推薦信的原因，然后把文案書寫好的英文推薦信交給老師過目，老師可以反饋修改意見。定稿后將推薦信打印在學校抬頭紙上，請老師簽字。申請博士的需要找一位本科階段的授課老師和一位碩士階段的授課老師做推薦人。工作三年以上的建議找一位大學的時候教過自己的老師和一位單位的領導(一般是直接上級)做推薦人。

值得注意的是，如果推薦人是外國人(包括港澳臺同胞，已在國外定居人士和在國外大學任教的中國老師)，推薦信需要由老師親自書寫，然后打在學校抬頭紙上并簽字。因為他們的英語思維能力和水平有別于一般中國老師。文案書寫的推薦信的思維邏輯跟中國老師非常貼近，但對于外國人(包括港澳臺同胞，已在國外定居人士和在國外大學任教的中國老師)則會有所出入。這樣的推薦信拿給英國高校，特別是高端名校，招生官會懷疑材料的真實性而對申請產生不利的影響。

郵寄推薦信的要求： 把推薦信打在學校或單位抬頭紙上，推薦人簽字，裝進學校或單位的信封，在信封封口處簽字。

When you apply online you should use the system to request references. Subsequently you can send a reminder to your referees, or add a new referee to your application. You should always use an academic/professional email address for your referee in preference to a webmail address. It is usually best to let your referees know in advance that you will be nominating them on your application.

You will be asked to enter the details of your referees in your application form. 重頭戲——個人陳述

不同學校對此類文件的命名不甚相同，叫Personal Statement, State of Purpose或者Statement of Interest的都有。招生官主要想通過這個文檔來獲得一些沒有在成績單，推薦新乃至簡歷上體現的信息。個人陳述的組成如下：

1. 一個吸引人的開頭。可以引用一段名人名言，講一個申請人經歷過的小故事，或者直接開門見山。

2. 闡述自己的學術背景，相關的學術經歷，校園活動和社會實踐活動。

4. 對專業的理解。有自己獨到的理解最好，實在沒有的話可以交給文案老師。3. 我的家庭影響/學術經歷/校園活動/社會實踐活動讓我萌生了進一步學習的興趣，去英國學習的動機。

注意：Personal Statement的結構是先說人，再說想申請什么專業和對專業的理解，State of Purpose或者Statement of Interest先說我想申請什么專業，為什么申請該專業，對專業的理解，然后再用個人經歷去支持前面的表述

家庭因素與學習動機：家庭因素只能是影響對專業的選擇，而非決定。不能說我的父母是干什么的，他們希望我干什么，于是我就去干什么。如果招生官看到這樣的字眼，會覺得申請者沒有自己的主見，不知道自己想要什么，會對申請產生負面影響。說家庭的影響的時候，可以說從我小時候開始，我就看到父母干什么了，覺得很神
