1. Choice of Synonyms 同義詞 的選擇

同義詞在英語中為數不少，在合同英語中也時常出現，翻譯時必須作出正確選擇。否則，如果同義詞選用不當，輕者會影響雙方的權利義務;重者可能造成履約爭議。同義詞的選擇，通常從以下幾方面著手：

1) Considering the Connotation根據單詞的內進行選擇

合同中出現的同義詞，從字面理解仿佛沒有很大區別，但仔細研究其內涵就會發現，它們在表現出共性的同時，也體現著它們的個性。這就要求譯者必須深人細致地精研其本質的區別，選出最恰當的單詞。

例如，合同中經常出現的to perform a 買粉絲ntract， to fulfill a 買粉絲ntract， to execute a 買粉絲ntract， to implement a 買粉絲ntract，這些 短語 都可以表示“履行合同”，從字面上看都對。然而在具體的合同條款中，表示履行不同的合同義務時，其用法是有區別的。

「例1」
